Hi! My name is Sydney, and I recently graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Animal Science. I originally grew up in Dallas, Texas, and recently moved to the Aspen/Basalt area after graduation because I love the outdoors and the lifestyle here in the mountains.
I have over six years of childcare experience working with children of all ages, from infants to school-aged kids. My experience includes long-term nannying positions, babysitting, preschool classroom experience, and caring for multiple children at once. I have also worked closely with families through nannying, helping with daily routines, meal prep, school pickups, homework, bedtime routines, and creating fun activities for children throughout the day. Families describe me as dependable, patient, organized, and energetic.
In addition to my nannying background, I am PDIS Level 3 certified and have completed professional childcare training while preparing to become a lead preschool teacher. My hands-on experience have helped me build strong communication, safety, and child development skills.
I love creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and encouraged to learn and grow. Some of my favorite activities to do with kids include spending time outdoors, arts and crafts, reading, baking, imaginative play, and planning engaging activities that keep children active and entertained. I always strive to build strong relationships with both children and parents so families feel supported and confident in their childcare.
