Sophie G.
Hi, I’m Sophie! I grew up in Denver, Colorado skiing, hiking, and playing soccer. I graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Environmental Biology, where I further cultivated my passion for the outdoors and environmental sustainability. After graduation, I moved to the mountains of Chiriquí, Panama, where I spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in environmental conservation. Upon completing my service, I was eager to return to the mountains I knew and loved and am happy to now call Aspen home.
I’ve always loved working with kids because of the imaginative, wonderous outlook they bring to everyday life. I’ve babysat for years, worked as a summer camp counselor, worked as an educator in Panama, and now work for the Snowmass ski school. In addition to childcare, I have held various roles in environmental research and consulting. I’m also a 200-hour registered yoga teacher, CPR and First Aid certified, and fluent in Spanish.
Some of my favorite activities with kids include making up games, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures. I strive to nurture creativity and a safe space for them to be themselves and have fun. I can’t wait to meet you and your family!
