My name is Monique! Originally from Buffalo, NY, I moved to Aspen in 2016 to pursue my passion for the outdoors and the ski culture! I graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Environmental Sciences and minoring in Geography. In my collegiate years, I raced USCSA as a competitive ski racer and held the Vice President chair on the team for two years. During that time, I gained the team sponsors and held races along with other events to fundraise.
I began babysitting when I was 14 and it has always been a joy to me. I began nannying in the valley for Aspen Nannies in 2017, meeting and working with over 100 amazing families over the years from all over the world! I am CPR certified and have taken childcare safety courses throughout the years as an Aspen Nanny. I have traveled with the Aspen Nanny team to host childcare events in Steamboat as well as locally.
I combined my passion for childcare and skiing by obtaining my certification as a USSA-certified coach in ski racing. From 2017-2021 I coached the U10 ski racers for the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club as a lead coach of the program for 8 and 9-year-old athletes in the Roaring Fork Valley.
In the winter I am a professional skier and athlete for AspenSnowmass. I enjoy mountain biking in the summer and exploring the beautiful nature that Aspen has to offer. I also have an Astrology business where I read the stars for clients and share guidance in their lives.
I have experience working with all ranges of children and thoroughly enjoy mentoring them in the outdoors! From parks to playgrounds, there are so many wonderful outdoor activities to share with the young ones. If the weather doesn't cooperate one day, we'll have lots of fun getting crafty indoors. I look forward to making magical memories with your little ones!
