Madison R.
Hello! My name is Madison and I grew up in the Bay Area in California. After a summer of working for Rocky Mountain National Park I made the move to Aspen in the fall. I decided to move to Aspen after visiting friends here last winter and falling in love with it!
I studied Marine Biology at Western Washington University in Bellingham but I plan to go back to school soon to get my elementary teaching certificate. I currently have my wilderness first aid certificate as well as CPR. I am also a certified Colorado state substitute teacher.
I have always loved working with kids and have been babysitting and nannying for over 10 years. I have worked with kids ages 6 weeks-13 years old. Throughout college I nannied full time in the summers as well as part time during the school year. I have also worked as a full time mountain bike coach teaching kids ages 7-13 how to mountain bike. In the past two years I have worked in elementary schools as both a substitute teacher as well as a behavioral paraeducator. I’m excited to start ski instructing kids 6 and under this season as well!
In my free time I love to be outside whether it’s skiing, mountain biking, running or camping! I also love to cook and bake especially with friends.
When working with kids I love to play games, go outside or to the park, bake, and read stories. I like to make scavenger hunts for the kids I nanny, as well as plan different crafts depending on the season. I look forward to meeting you and your family!! .
