Hi families! My name is Lexi—I am 24 years old and moved to Aspen this past winter from Florida. Even though Im adjusting to the chilly winters, I am thankful to be doing so in one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been! I am a big sister to two not so little anymore brothers, and have been babysitting since I can remember. This led me to love babysitting for kids of all ages and eventually brought me to Aspen. Working in Nantucket a few summers ago, I babysat for a number of families part of the Nantucket Yacht Club and nannied for a family who lives full-time in Aspen. They told me I just had to visit and I, of course, fell in love!
My college education is in journalism and I’m very interested in the entertainment and media industry. One of my goals this season is to improve my spanish speaking. As mentioned, I have babysat for years but as I got later into my teenage years started nannying and caring for infants and families with children of various ages. Most recently, I cared for two little girls, one 6 month old and one 2.5 year old. I find different ways to engage with various ages and admire the unique characteristics each age brings. In my free time, I love reading, going to the beach, and taking my doggies on a walk. I have had the pleasure of babysitting on several occasions here in Aspen, and some of my favorite things to do with the kids include going to the park, the library, or getting their favorite sweet treat (with parent permission!)
