My name is Katie and I’m a Colorado native. I was born in Denver, graduated from CU Boulder, and moved to Aspen 2 and a half years ago to be a life operator at Aspen Highlands.

I am CPR and first-aid certified and have been caring for children for 10+ years. I have cared for children ranging from 7 months to 10 years old. Along with child care, I was previously an assistant swim coach and instructor. I believe in open communication with parents, and I follow their preferred method, whether it's verbal updates at pickup or regular texts or phone calls. I always adhere to the household rules set by the parents. Additionally, I'm happy to assist with cooking, carpooling, and light housekeeping.

For two years I have been volunteering at English in Action, where I teach English to non-native speakers living here in the Valley. Along with volunteering, I enjoy skiing, snowboarding, reading, backpacking, art, going to concerts, and traveling.

As an adventurous and creative person, I love doing arts, crafts, and any type of outdoor activities while babysitting. I look forward to working with a family that shares my values and believes, like me, that childhood should be a time of joy, exploration, and learning!
