Julia P.

Hello, my name is Julia, I’m originally from Nashville Tennessee, and I have been visiting Aspen since 2009 and over the past few years it has become home to me. I first moved to Colorado for school (Go Rams!), and I’ve been based in Aspen since winter of 2022. My summers are spent in different
locations working as a Wildlife Biologist. I return to Aspen every winter as I love the sense of community here and feel grateful to support families in a place that’s so connected to nature, adventure, and healthy living.

I hold a B.S. in Fish & Wildlife Conservation from Colorado State University, I’m CPR and First Aid certified, and Child's specialist Certified With PSIA. In addition to my childcare background, I work as a ski instructor with Aspen Skiing Company, teaching kids of all ages and creating fun, safe, and confidence-building experiences on the mountain. I’ve been working as a nanny since 2015, with experience caring for infants through pre-teens, helping with routines, homework, creative play, and outdoor activities. I also speak intermediate Spanish and have an advanced understanding after living in Argentina for 6 months learning the language this past Summer.

A few things I love include skiing, hiking, wildlife photography, travel, and exploring new trails around Aspen. I enjoy bringing elements of nature and creativity into my time with kids, whether we’re building snowmen, doing crafts, going on little “nature detective” walks, or reading together on cozy afternoons. I’m reliable, energetic, and patient, and I truly enjoy helping children feel safe, curious, and confident while having fun.
