Hello! I’m Heather, a nurturing, energetic, fun-loving nanny with roots from upstate New York, where my love for the mountains blossomed.
After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Communications from University of Colorado, Boulder, I made the adventurous leap to move to Aspen, CO, to pursue my dream of being a full-time, live-in nanny. This unforgettable experience led me to buy a home in 2021, and permanently settle here in Aspen’s beautiful Roaring Fork Valley. With more than 15 years of professional experience in early childhood development, I’ve had the privilege of working with families in various roles, from a camp counselor and sailing instructor to a K-6 art teacher, a live-in nanny, the owner/operator of my own in-home daycare center, and my most recent endeavor as a dedicated Snowmass ski instructor (age 7-17). I’m blessed to have done it all! I’m also a proud mom of two boys, which further enriches my understanding of children’s needs throughout all developmental stages, and the ways to inspire children and create a perpetual world of wonder both indoors and out.
With a passion for nurturing young minds, I am responsible, caring, safety-conscious, and dedicated to creating an enriching environment where children feel confident, safe, loved, and encouraged to grow as individuals. As a passionate foodie, I additionally love to whip up healthy, delicious meals, make my own play-doh, and host fun cooking sessions with the kids. I’m CPR/First Aid certified and fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with children from diverse backgrounds. My approach to childcare is all about creativity and joy; I thrive on crafting engaging, age-appropriate activities, and turning everyday moments into memorable learning experiences filled with imaginative play, exploration, learning, love, laughter and much more! Whether we’re playing hide and seek, hiking through the valley’s breathtaking trails, embarking on a scavenger hunt, or exploring the hidden gems of the Roaring Fork River, I believe in blending education with adventure, making sure every moment counts!
