Claire F.

My name is Claire, and I’m originally from Dallas, Texas. I learned to ski with the Aspen Skiing Company on Snowmass and later joined as an instructor through high school and college. The Roaring Fork Valley has always been my happy place. After spending a few years working in finance in New York City, I returned to Aspen because I missed the joy of working with kids, the outdoors, and the strong sense of community here. I’m now back teaching with the Aspen Skiing Company in the 6 & Under division and couldn’t be happier to spend my days helping little ones build confidence on the slopes.

I graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Business and a minor in Economics, and I also studied at the London School of Economics and the University Autònoma de Barcelona. I’m CPR certified, a Spanish speaker, and hold my Level 1 Professional Ski Instructor certification through PSIA.

Before returning to Aspen, I spent my summers as a counselor at Camp Longhorn, a sleep-away summer camp outside of Austin, Texas focused on swimming and aquatic activities. I led cabin groups, organized daily adventures, and created a fun, energetic environment for kids. I also worked as a horseback riding instructor, teaching children how to ride safely while building their confidence around animals. Across all of these experiences, I’ve learned how to balance structure, patience, and play to help kids feel supported and excited.

Outside of work, I love skiing, hiking, and running, and I’m an avid adventurer. I also enjoy photography, cooking, and spending time with friends. With kids, some of my favorite activities include outdoor exploring, crafts, reading time, imaginative games, and anything that gets us moving and laughing.
I adore working with children and look forward to meeting your family!
