Emily E.

I’m Emily, a born and raised local growing up right here in the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley. I have been in child care for over 20 years. After high school I moved to the Front Range and began a career working with at risk youth. After a few years I moved to Florida and spent 3 years working in a state group home (K-12), as a Behavior Analyst. Alas, I come to the realization, I am not a beach gal but a mountain girl through and through. Longing to be near my large family and missing the mountains I moved back to Colorado.
Upon returning I did Luxury Property Management, and for the last 5 years I've been an educator. Teaching through the pandemic I have had to adapt to teaching an expansive range of subjects and grades. Teaching everything from PE, to Art (K-8), 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, Art and 2nd being MY JAM! This has been in both a district and private setting. I have had experience with infants, all the way up to elderly clients; as I did hospice care while in college.

Every day off you can find me enjoying my home, garden, and the outdoors with my two dogs, Geronimo and Littlefoot. I love sewing, embroidery, and taking year round hut trips to our family cabin on the Flat Tops. I'm fond of sharing good food, board games and fellowshipping with those around me. I'm detail oriented, reliable, kind and would love the opportunity to help you and your family. Growing up here has given me an appreciation, and love for the outdoors and I like sharing that with my clients. No matter the activity, I enjoy promoting a growth mindset and use positive reinforcement when working with children and animals. Enriching their mind through play and nature. Whether that be board games, art, music, or nature; learning, growing, and playing should be fun!!
